Get to know the members of our community through fellowship at some of our prominent houses of worship including World Changers, Cascade United Methodist, Zion Hill Baptist Church, and many more. A fun and active way to meet our residents is through the Atlanta Track Club and the annual Jerome Scales Southside 10k. Also, our city anniversary celebration happens in May offering lots of family-friendly activities.

Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the beautiful Georgia weather at Hooch Boat Ramp, with access to the Chattahoochee River for boating, paddling, and sport fishing. The Welcome All Park Natatorium and the Tom Lowe Shooting Range are just a few more options for year-round activity.

The South Fulton Tennis Center is a USTA facility serving our community with instruction, competitive play, and youth programs. For many years it was the home court for professional players including Donald Young and Taylor Townsend, and hosted Venus Williams Day 2019. The 24-court facility boasts gorgeous panoramic views, a 10,000 square-foot building, four clay courts and 20 hard courts–all of which are full-sized. The South Atlanta Community Tennis Association, a 501(c)3 organization, is contracted to manage programs at the South Fulton Tennis Center allowing financial assistance to players for training, equipment, and tournament play. Each year, a number of community events are held here including HBCU Championships, USTA National Tournaments.

Wolf Creek Golf Course was selected by Golf Digest as one of the best in the area and is regarded as one of the most challenging golf tracks in Metro Atlanta. The course was created by Mike Young Designs and incorporates low flatland holes, wetland areas, and holes with dramatic vistas.

The Farm at Wilkerson Mill was formerly known as the KHW Retreat, a club comprising the Knox-Harrisson and Wheat family, an African-American family whose ancestors were enslaved. The family purchased the plot of land to celebrate their legacy. On the site, there are commemoration markers dating back 100 years highlighting their family’s resilience. Today, the rolling outdoor space is the perfect natural retreat with rustic charm. Amenities include a large covered pavilion, on-site restrooms, park-style grills, smokehouse, agriculture greenhouse/high tunnel, and fire pit. Just 25 minutes outside of Downtown Atlanta, Wilkerson Mill is in proximity to the city but still has that off-the-beaten-path feel. The grounds have been used for movie shoots, but also plays host to private parties, family reunions, weddings, corporate outings, and group campouts.

Boat Rock is a small urban boulder field preserved by the Southeast Climbers Coalition. The area has a long history of climbing and held one of the first bouldering competitions in the U.S. back in 1985.
