Campbellton Creek Nature Preserve is 81 acres of forest given to STPAL in 2014. It is in a transitional area between a heavy industrial and warehouse area and new residential. It is a pretty forest with mostly hardwoods. It has some large interesting boulders. Its most value as conservation land may be its ability to catch and retain runoff rainwater from the nearby large warehouse and industrial facilities.It is not available for hunting or camping.

As a branch of the Georgia Civil War Heritage Trails®, the Atlanta Campaign Heritage Trail is a 340-mile historic driving route. A full year of Civil War battles were fought in Atlanta and these trails tell the stories of thousands of both Union and Confederate soldiers.

This hiking trail features beautiful, rolling hills, trickling springs, a moss-covered historic springhouse, and a waterfall. Historic highlights include earthworks from the Civil War battle of Utoy Creek. The route is approximately two miles, is dog-friendly and is hospitable to hikers of all skill levels.
